Since 2015, Watches Castor represents an innovative spirit and a different proposal in the universe of watchmaking. We are a young brand that is constantly improving, with our own design proposal that revolves around elegance, aesthetics and also collective identity.
Since 2021 we have also innovated with a new product: The Chilean Corvo, also in wood and as a complement in an identity object of our country. We welcome you to our world and our history.
Art, inspiration and design by hand
Our watches start with inspiration. We want to deliver a concept, a message, a style. That inspiration travels a path from the world of ideas to the wrist of our clients through a process that combines technique and art.
A watch proposes the concept of engineering and aesthetics in the same object, and that fascinates us. The watch is not only a functional element, but it is an accessory that is very representative of each person and their tastes. When designing a model, we try to combine the rustic aspect of wood, with the necessary touch of elegance to show it off.
We love what we do and we enjoy our work. Seeing something that we imagine, draw and paint by hand, being used by our clients, makes us proud and honored.
Corvo Chileno Knives
We are also innovating in a very identity element, such as the Chilean Corvo. We have designed a more compact and portable corvo. Practical and that you can take anywhere and use it at home for the most everyday things. We did it by investigating its history and at the same time thinking about recovering it for the common citizen. Let it come back to the people, which is where it came from.
A story of entrepreneurship
The history of Castor Watches is mixed with the personal history of someone who decides to embark on their own path, in search of independence, professional and personal fulfillment. This goes back to the year 2015 in Valparaíso, Chile, when Gonzalo Grebe, who was a watch lover and collector, decided to give himself an opportunity to undertake. This is how the idea of creating something related to what he already liked, watches, was born. The premise was to design a line of watches that have an innovative differentiation, in this case the materiality with wood, also including cultural identity.
This is how throughout these years, Castor watches have been growing in proposals with more than 12 own designs including representative lines of our culture such as the “Ethnic” or the “Cities” collection. In turn, we have been chosen to design watches for renowned national and international companies such as CCU with Pisco Mistral and the German company Steuler KCH.
Our goal is always to learn and improve. We are a young but enthusiastic brand that loves what it does. Little by little we are growing and delivering more and more to our customers. From Chile, to the world.
